Smelly feet, also known as bromodosis, is a condition where the feet produce a bad odor. It happens because of sweat and bacteria. The feet have a lot of sweat glands, and when they stay moist (like in socks and shoes), bacteria break down the sweat, producing a strong smell.
✔ Wash your feet daily with soap and warm water, especially between the toes.
✔ Keep feet dry – Change socks if they get sweaty, and go barefoot at home when possible.
✔ Use foot powder or antiperspirant to reduce sweating.
✔ Wear breathable socks (cotton or moisture-wicking materials).
✔ Rotate your shoes – Avoid wearing the same pair every day to let them air out.
✔ Soak feet in vinegar or Epsom salt to kill bacteria.
