Athlete’s foot is a fungal skin infection that affects the feet, especially between the toes. It’s itchy, uncomfortable, and thrives in warm, moist places like sweaty shoes, locker rooms, and public showers.
Walking barefoot in public places – Gyms, pools, locker rooms, etc.
Wearing damp socks or sweaty shoes – The fungus loves moisture.
Sharing shoes, socks, or towels – Fungal infections spread easily.
Weakened immune system – Some people are more prone to infections.
Use Antifungal Creams or Sprays
Keep Feet Dry & Clean – Wash daily, dry well (especially between toes), and change socks often.
Wear Breathable Socks & Shoes – Choose moisture-wicking socks and well-ventilated shoes.
Avoid Walking Barefoot in Public – Always wear flip-flops in showers or locker rooms.
Let Shoes Air Out – Don’t wear the same pair every day; let them dry completely.
👉 If it doesn’t improve after 2-4 weeks of treatment.
👉 If it spreads to your nails, hands, or other body parts.
👉 If you have diabetes or a weakened immune system (since infections can be more serious).
